GPS Traders.com was built with the construction and survey professional in mind. We built an easy to
use site to allow people to buy and sell GPS equipment in a format unlike any other site. Auction
are terrible for buying and selling expensive technology products. Our site combines active buyers and
active sellers together. This allows you to get the best equipment at the best price always. We are GPS
professionals who know the equipment, how it works, and what is best for you. Please feel free to contact
us at any time at admin@gpstraders.com.
We charge a commission on each sale. If the final selling price is under $5000, we charge 15%. If the equipment sells between $5000 - $25,000 we charge 12%. And if the items sells for over $25,000, we only charge 10%.
If you are a first time user, you must register on the site. This allows you to setup an account with GPS Traders to begin Buying and Selling. Once inside your account, click on the Sell Item button and enter the information about the equipment you would like to sell.
If you are a first time user, you must register on the site. This allows you to setup an account with GPS Traders to begin Buying and Selling. Once inside your account, click on the Make an Offer button and enter the information about the equipment you would like to purchase.
With our site, all of the equipment is hidden. That is because all of the equipment may or may not be for sale. It is up to the individual Seller to determine if they want to sell their Items when a Offer comes in. As the site grows, specific sales statistics will be provided to the Buyers and Sellers with the past purchase history of the items and/or a summary of the what currently is for sale.
We will be using Google Checkout for all purchases on GPS Traders. Google Checkout is the easier and safest way to purchase Items online today. If the demand is high enough, certified checks and PO#'s may be accepted in the future.
Once the Buyer logs into the site and approves their purchase (or after 10 days if they forget to log in), a check will be sent out to the Seller for the agreed upon amount. All commissions will be removed from the total before the check is sent.
The Seller is required to pay the shipping charges and to insure the package for the dollar amount agreed upon by the Buyer and Seller. The Seller will need to log into the site and type in the tracking number of the equipment. This information will be sent to the Buyer so they can track delivery of the package. This will be the last requirement for the Seller.
The Buyer will have the option to pay for the equipment to be inspected before receiving it. This is to insure all of the equipment is in good working condition as stated in the equipment posting. If the equipment is known to have specific issues, an inspection may not be required, but that information must be provided by the Seller before the Offer is accepted. The equipment will be inspected by a 3rd party, manufacturer authorized service center. If any issues are found with the equipment, it is the responsibility of the Seller to fix the equipment or make the items unavailable for sale.
GPS Traders uses Google Checkout. None of your credit card information is handled, stored, or viewed by GPS Traders at any time. The purchase is no different than purchasing an item on Amazon.com or any other major website.
GPS Traders primary office is located in Orlando, FL, but will be opening locations throughout the country. That way any dealer in the United States can sell their equipment to GPS Traders without having to violate any of their manufacturer's geographic requirements. To learn more about this, please go to our Dealer Page and contact us about our Dealer Partnership program.
